Pietro Cascella & Cordelia von den Steinen (ENG)

Pietro Cascella (1921-2008) was Italy’s most important monumental sculptor of marble working in a semi-abstract style. His monument commemorating the victims of the Holocaust was inaugurated at the former concentration camp Auschwitz in 1967. Cascella was married to ceramist Cordelia von den Steinen (1941). The couple lived and worked  in a Medieval castle north of Pietrasanta. This book expplores their life together, surrounded by sculpture.
